Michael Yaki probally didn't tell you that after he introduced earlier,
stronger OMI leglislation, he withdrew it, after receiving $$$$ and
pressure from landlords. This isn't conspiracy, but well documented.
If you need, I could dig up campaign records and press clippings for you.
Yaki is ridiculous, he'll tell you that he has support of a certain part
of the tenants rights community. This is a lie. All of the groups, from
radical to center, correctly identify him as a liar and an enemy. Of course,
he can boast of Joe Lacey's support, the tenant advocate who never
met a backroom deal he didn't like.
Don't believe the hype, the politicians are not your friends.
