I do really know what anguish one can go through when you're evicted
by a greedy landlord.

Please consider adding your site to www.tenantnet.com. Right now the only
link for San Francisco is the Rent Board - we know that that is not adequate.

You can contact them at tenant@tenant.net.I think it is worthwhile.
Read up on the Costa Hawkins act - the end of Rent Control in Berkeley and
East Palo Alto has dire implications for the Bay Area. The people who are
posting about the East Bay being a better place have their days numbered.
Rents are rising in Oakland and Landlords there are starting to evict.
They're hoping that no one will notice or complain. They're wrong.

Note that Palo Alto is at least acknowledging we have a crisis and they are
conservative. The Board of Supervisors is debating the Rental Crisis and
have a Committee on Escalating Rents - where is the one in San Francisco?
Where is any acknowledgement that we are in a crisis? The SF Examiner and
Chronicle said 2 weeks ago that there was a rent crunch but that people
could solve it by doubling up and preparing portfolios to impress landlords
- and promoted Rentnet as a good service to help tenants. Guess that's why
they have been emailing you so assiduously with listings. No one is coming up
with any analysis, stats or solutions.

Once again you are doing a great job. I think you can and will make this a
national news item.
