I'm glad I can help. Yes, we're moving into a friend of a friends old place.
I tell you as far as finding a flat, it's not what you know, but who you know.
The best thing you can do is let people know you're in need. My only
worry for you is that if you do have to move, it might be hard to find
a landlord who is sympathetic to your situation. Just as you have access
to the internet and your circle of renter friends, they have access and
knowledge of each other. I'm not sure what the solution is, it's all such a mess.
Just like you, I'm the victim and their isn't anything I can do about it.
I fought for a long time, determined not to give up my apartment.
But you know what, I have to leave, it's just not worth it.
My situation is obviously different than yours, I wish there was something
more I could do. Best of luck, take care of yourself.
